Indian Point generates about 25% of the electricity we
use in the City and Westchester. The facility also contributes $1.6 billion in economic benefits each year, and a total tax benefit of $340 million to local, state and federal governments.
Indian Point generates all this power with virtually no greenhouse gas emissions, and is the largest single source of clean energy in our region. If we want to achieve our state’s ambitious climate goals, our plans must start with Indian Point.
