What’s Galvanize Worldwide?
Galvanize Worldwide is a marketing communications firm that specializes in storytelling for start-ups and brands looking to build awareness, as well as cri- sis, issues and reputation management.
How has being based in Westchester impacted your business?
Our Westchester location helps sig- nificantly because there are impressive, established businesses that are here and ready for growth opportunities. There’s also a close proximity to New York City, to connect with businesses and media there as well. It really brings us the best of all worlds – proximity to a big city and media, a robust business net- work within Westchester and also an entrepreneurial spirit that feeds the business pipeline too.
Talk a little bit about your
family and children.
I am married with two children, Lauren and Zachary – ages 11 and 7. We live in West Harrison and our children go to
Davidson on holiday with daughter Lauren, husband Neil and son Zachary
Harrison schools.
What do you see as the benefits of raising your kids in Westchester?
The quality of our schools and the quality of the extracurricular activities is outstanding in Westchester. I am confi- dent that our children are getting a very high standard of education, appreciating the diversity of the communities around them and still having access to outstand- ing extracurricular programs, sports and cultural programs, as well as access to NYC and all it has to offer as well.
What do you love most about living here?
I like the close knit communities of Westchester. I like all of the activities that Westchester offers – many of them
free. I like the spirit of giving and the charitable and philanthropic work that many families and school programs support. I love that we can be near big, robust cities, but also have great hikes and backyards to play in.
Any other thoughts on building your business and family here?
For me, living and working in West- chester is the best of both worlds. I have access to NYC when I need it with an easy train ride, but I also have a won- derful balance of work and home based on the quality of businesses in the Coun- ty, the supportive environment of the business networks and entrepreneurial spirit here.
