GETTING HERE& GETTING AROUND
With a location that borders New York City and connects to Upstate New York and New England, Westchester County is one of the most accessible destinations in America. The county boasts convenient access to major highways, including I-87/New York State Thruway, I-95/New England Thruway, I-287/Cross-Westchester Expressway, and I-684.
Westchester also offers easy air travel: Fly directly into Westchester County Airport (HPN), with direct service from cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Washington, D.C., and many other destinations. Visitors can also easily get to Westchester via the New York area’s major airports — LaGuardia, JFK, Newark, and Stewart — all of which are in close proximity. Westchester County Airport also serves as a busy hub for private air travel.
On the rails, both Amtrak and Metro-North serve Westchester County. Metro-North has three routes and 43 stops from Grand Central Terminal, along the Hudson, through White Plains, and along Long Island Sound.
