Saturday
a.m. Pick up some breakfast to go at Bittersweet Kitchen (www.eatatbittersweet.com) in Media,
then head to nearby Glen Providence Park to enjoy delicious omelets or fluffy pancakes while surrounded by natural beauty. Another great option is Minella’s Diner (www.minellasdiner) on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, with its extensive menu of omelet options. (Including a pizza omelet with tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, onions and green peppers! What’s not
to love?)
a.m. On a nice day, stroll through Ridley Creek State Park or Chanticleer to marvel at the pops of color amid the greenery and bask in our Delco sunshine. (It’s better than the sunshine everywhere else. Trust us.) If it’s raining, spend an hour or two exploring the nation’s best collection of art by the Wyeth family, at the Brandywine River Museum of Art. The museum will be closed for renovations in spring, but plans to reopen in June. For more information, head to www. brandywine.org/museum/visit/reopening-brandywine.
p.m. Looking for a juicy burger or unforgettable sandwich? You’ll have plenty of options at The Silverspoon in Wayne (www.silverspoonwayne.com), plus you can treat yourself to a side of truffle fries!
Or indulge in some day drinking at the Penns Woods Winery tasting room in Chadds Ford (www.pennswoodswinery.com). Penns Woods has built a new outdoor pavilion with a gorgeous view over the vineyards, and the winery hosts live music events almost every weekend.
p.m. So much to do, so little time! How about a trip
to Linvilla Orchards (www.linvilla.com)? Some attractions, such as the playground, are closed, but there is still plenty of fun to be had, including pick-your- own fruit experiences, animal encounters, fishing and
a gorgeous outdoor beer garden. Before you go, don’t forget to check the website for what’s available.
p.m. Media’s State Street is a fine-dining hub! You’ll find anything from Mexican to Asian fusion, wood-fired pizza and classic diner food. Downtown Media also happens to be a great place for an after-dinner stroll. (For a suggested walking tour of Media, see page 12.)
p.m. In the mood for drinks? Try Streetlight Kitchen & Bar (www.streetlightdrexelhill.com)! You’ll find
a rotating list of hyper-local draft beer and spirits distilled in the Greater Philadelphia region. If you’re not comfortable drinking at the bar, Streetlight offers curbside pickup for your favorite beers and cocktails. Check the website for upcoming live entertainment!

Sunday
a.m. Scrumptious brunch buffets are sadly not an option right now, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on your favorite brunch foods! Some of our go-to spots are offering takeout or delivery, including The BrickHaus in Ridley Park (www.cafebrickhaus.com), Hank’s Place in Chadds Ford (www.hanksplace chaddsford.com) and White Dog Café Glen Mills (www.whitedog.com/glenmills). Several offer indoor dining at limited capacity as well.
ALPENHOF BED & BREAKFAST
p.m. Head to Longwood Gardens, one of America’s most stunning horticultural displays (www.longwood gardens.org)! The indoor conservatory is open at limited capacity and advance ticket reservations are required. For rainy-day fun, try King of Prussia Mall, the Greater Philadelphia region’s famous upscale shopping destination (www.simon.com/mall/ king-of-prussia).
p.m. Time to head home already! And time to start planning your next trip to Delco . . .
