spend time with our loved ones and how we enjoy recreation and entertainment. Many Delco residents and business owners have
been vaccinated and are following public health guidance to keep themselves and each other safe.
Uncertainty surrounding the pandemic remains
as we head into the fall and winter seasons and are faced with new variants of the virus. We will need to continue to be vigilant. But whenever it’s safe to do so, let’s get together with our friends and family to remind ourselves of all that Delco has to offer — such as the beautiful outdoor locations and family-fun spaces we spotlight in this digital issue of our visitors guide.
As temperatures drop and the leaves begin to change colors, Delaware County transforms into the perfect place to enjoy the beauty and serenity of Mother Nature. Breathtaking fall destinations include Linvilla Orchards, Ridley Creek State Park, Tyler Arboretum, John Heinz Refuge, Brandywine Battlefield Park and Rose Tree Park. Prefer spooky over peaceful? The Bates Motel is a great place for thrill-seekers.
college campuses and a bucket list of 50 fun activities for the fall and winter. The bucket list includes events for the whole family, quiet date-night spots, and dozens of other places and experiences to enjoy.
This pandemic has been extremely challenging
for all of us. Since March 2020, we’ve had to shift the way we live our lives in almost every aspect. And yet, we’ve seen so many examples of our residents coming together and supporting one another. It should make us all proud to be DELCO STRONG!
On behalf of Delaware County Council, I encourage everyone to take advantage of all that Delco has to offer. Before you head out, please be mindful of the latest public health guidance to keep yourself, those you love and our community safe.
