San Antonio Baltimore
Baltimore partners with San Antonio and Anaheim to create one meeting solution
Baltimore, Anaheim/Orange County and San Antonio have joined forces to create “Synchronicities,” a three-city, multi- year booking package designed to save meeting professionals time and money.
The geographic diversity of the three cities, seamless knowledge transfer, enhanced marketing and attendance building and united services platform make the partnership a natural fit
for planners who rotate their events
to different parts of the country. Synchronicities has successfully booked the International Association of Events and Exhibitions (IAEE), the National Postal Forum and the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials, each for three-year rotations with this innovative platform.
Building an
Unparalleled Solution
With the goal to assist professionals
in achieving their specific business objectives by offering customizable options, personalization is the foundation of Synchronicities. Anaheim, Baltimore and San Antonio conducted in-depth research with meeting professionals through focus groups and surveys to build the Synchronicities platform. As a result, the platform provides meeting professionals with an unbeatable combination of value and resources.
> ENHANCED MARKETING/ ATTENDANCE BUILDING:
Optimal attendance is the goal for every meeting. That’s why we work to support your strategic goals and extend your
marketing efforts through an enhanced marketing campaign. In addition to customized destination marketing tools, Synchronicities works with you to identify key audiences and need areas to build attendance across the three cities.
“When you have THREE REALLY STRONG DESTINATIONS POOLING RESOURCES, in constant communication, supporting one another in their efforts — that’s huge for a show organizer.”
— Scott Craighead, Vice President of Exhibitions and Events, IAEE
> SEAMLESS KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER: The teams in each Synchronicities city work together to ensure that your
event transitions seamlessly across
each destination — it’s like a three-year extension of your staff. We share profiles, convention center reports, programs
and key learnings from prior years to help make your job easier. We can even send Services representatives to your meetings in other Synchronicities cities so every city can prepare for your meeting with firsthand experience. Additionally, you get access to our extended housing call center between 8 a.m. Eastern and 5 p.m. Pacific to coordinate booking needs.
> ENHANCED WELCOME PROGRAM: When you’re in a Synchronicities city, we roll out the red carpet with an enhanced
welcome program that makes attendees feel right at home. Welcome programs are customized to best fit your needs. Examples include hotel signage, welcome desks at the airport, welcome banners, buttons or hats and even customized discount programs.
“One of the strengths of the Synchronicities partnership is the sharing of intellectual capital between the three cities,” said Al Hutchinson, President and CEO of Visit Baltimore. “The communication between the cities will ensure consistent service delivery and simplify the meeting planning process.”
Working together through Synchronicities also provides enhanced opportunities for the three destinations to invest in industry education, a priority shared by all cities. Partnering with esteemed organizations IAEE, PCMA and Association Forum of Chicagoland nurtures relationships with influential leaders, allowing the destinations to better anticipate industry trends and share these findings with their clients.
