INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz. vodka (we use Cooper’s Daughter Buddha’s Hand)
1.5 oz. Desert Forager prickly pear & pomegranate shrub syrup
1⁄2 of a lime, squeezed Splash of seltzer
PREPARATION
Shake all ingredients with ice and pour contents, including ice, into a 12-ounce glass (like a highball). Top with seltzer and garnish with an edible flower (like a dendrobium orchid) or lemon wheel.
The fruit used
for infusing the Buddha’s Hand vodka and the prickly pear in the syrup are grown in hot climates, making them perfect summer ingredients. The combination of citrus and sweet notes is a great thirst quencher.

be found at liquor stores) 1 oz. pineapple juice
1⁄2 oz. crème de peche or
peach juice
1⁄2 oz. peach schnapps
1⁄2 oz. simple syrup
2 dashes of orange bitters Mint leaves or edible flower,
for garnish
PREPARATION
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a healthy amount of mint or a nice edible orchid.
This peach-forward drink is an homage to the short window we have here in upstate NY for fresh, local peaches.

1⁄2 oz. overproof Jamaican rum (like Wray & Nephew or Rumfire)
1⁄2 oz. aged Jamaican rum (like Plantation Xaymaca)
1 oz. coconut creme
1 oz. pineapple juice
1⁄4 oz. fresh-squeezed orange
juice
Grated nutmeg, pineapple
frond, orange slice, and maraschino cherry, for garnish
PREPARATION
Add ingredients and
crushed ice to a shaker
and vigorously shake. Serve with crushed ice in a tall glass or tiki mug. Garnish with nutmeg, a pineapple frond,
an orange half-moon, and a speared maraschino cherry.

Simple Syrup Recipe
Makes 1 1⁄2 cups (12 oz.)
INGREDIENTS
1 cup water 1 cup sugar
PREPARATION
Combine a 1-to-1 ratio of sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has slightly thickened. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to one month.
