over the animal enclosures at Elmwood Park Zoo (Norristown); one as part of the ropes course at Spring Mountain Adventures (Schwenksville).
Speaking of Spring Mountain, it is the go-to local location for downhill and cross-country skiing. For those with less “snow-how,” more than 35 state and local parks are great for sledding.
Scaled back a bit on the bravery scale is a hot air balloon ride over our western landscapes with the U.S. Hot Air Balloon Team. They’re scheduled for dawn and dusk out of Pottstown.
Or maybe saddle up for a guided horseback ride with Red Buffalo Ranch, a short gallop away in Collegeville.
