 Delaware Coastal Business Park: Convenient and Shovel-Ready
The shovel-ready Delaware Coastal Business Park, featuring lots of two acres and up, has already welcomed two tenants, said Bill Pfaff, Director of the Sussex County Office of Economic Development, with a third in the process of signing their lease.
“Our first two lots have already been leased and we’re in the market for new manufacturing tenants,” said Pfaff. “This park is uniquely positioned within a 100-mile radius from the major markets of Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia,”
he added. The park, located contiguous to the Delaware Coastal Airport, is within an eight-hour drive of one-fourth of the U.S. population.
The first lot has been taken by Atlantis Industries, a well-established company that offers a wide range of capabilities for injection-molded plastics. The company’s customer base includes military, automotive, medical and plumbing applications.
Great Workforce, Quality of Life
Pfaff noted that the park provides a wealth of opportunities, not just for Delaware, but for the entire Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. The area’s amenities, trained workforce, quality of life, low tax rates, excellent location and business tax advantages are evidence that Sussex County is ripe for manufacturing operations.
Businesses that locate in the new business park can capitalize on the highway, air, rail and waterway access.
The park:
• Is located on a truck route convenient to I-95;
• Is adjacent to the Delaware Coastal Airport; • Has access to local rail lines that feed into
the Norfolk Southern rail system
with connectivity to the CSX network and is near the Nanticoke River, which links Sussex County to the shipping lanes of the Chesapeake Bay. The Port of Wilmington is two hours north.
Fantastic Amenities
The Delaware Coastal Business Park offers a number of amenities for businesses that are ready for startup or expansion, including:
