Construction Career Day
A CHANCE TO LEARN NEW SKILLS

The construction contracting community teams up with union labor each year for an exciting one-day career exposition called the Hudson Valley Construction Career Day. Each spring since 2000, hundreds of high school students in the region converge to learn about well-paying career opportunities in the building trades, and they actually get the chance for hands-on experience in many
of the 18 specialty trades that attend. Union representatives and private-sector companies introduce teens to carpentry, plumbing, painting, bricklaying, electrical work — and even heavy construction equipment operations at outdoor test sites. In short, there’s something for everyone.
The event is co-hosted by both the Construction Industry Council and the Building Contractors Association of Westchester & the Mid-Hudson Region. For more information, visit www.cicbca.org/resources.
