2023 Annual Meeting Review

The NCFA’s largest event of the year, Healthy Markets, Healthy Forests, was held at the end of September at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. Over the course of two days, more than 200 folks from across North Carolina gathered for
engaging presentations and panels, delicious food, award- winning entertainment, and best of all, networking. Our team is so grateful to all who attended for making the meeting one of the most successful in recent years. We are thrilled with the outcome of this event. We hope you were able to find some inspiration to take home with you!
Outside of the general session presentations, this year’s Annual Meeting featured the exhibit hall and the Be Pro Be
Proud experience trailer. The exhibit hall saw lots of traffic during breaks, reception, and several meals, and offered opportunities for attendees to engage with each company. Exhibitors included American Scale Company LLC, ArborGen, AssuredPartners, Bodenhamer Farms & Nursery, Cruise Control 3.0, Forest Carbon Works, Forestry Mutual Insurance Company, IFCO, Long Island Lumber, NC Department
of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company, Today Media, and Trimble Forestry. As part of the NCFA’s sponsorship of the Be Pro Be Proud NC movement, we were able to invite members to try out the equipment in the mobile classroom that students typically get to use to learn about careers in the trades.
