It’s sometimes known as ‘log time.’ It’s that as we age, a year becomes a smaller fraction of our entire lives up to that point.”
T
of the bills the NCFA is working on are still going through the legislative process. Members of the General Assembly are also crafting the 2023-2025 biennium budget.
I also want to point out that the NCFA staff and the Annual Meeting Committee are planning what will be one of the best Annual Meetings we have had since our last visit to Asheville in 2012. We are excited to announce that we will have Balsam Range, a group of acoustic musicians and singers from Haywood County in western North Carolina. Balsam Range was named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2018 Entertainer of the Year. Get excited, folks, as we are planning an amazing speaker lineup again this year, topped off with some award-winning music to end the meeting. We cannot wait to get together at the Biltmore this fall. We will be sending out sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities soon, including the option for a Title Sponsor this year, so be on the lookout for that communication.
In closing, I hope each of you will take some to thank the executive committee, board of directors, and the NCFA team. The regional meetings, landowner workshops, various education programs, committee meetings, and the communications that NCFA does to tell our story would not be possible or successful without them.
