BAYHEALTH HOSPITAL, KENT CAMPUS has received the Mission: Lifeline®Gold Receiving Center Quality Achievement Award
from the American Heart Association for treatment of patients suffering severe heart attacks. Bayhealth earned the award by meeting specific criteria and standards of performance for quick and appropriate treatment through emergency procedures to re- establish blood flow to blocked arteries in patients suffering an ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) who come into the hospital directly or by transfer from another facility.
BAYHEALTH HOSPITAL, KENT CAMPUS’ Wound Care Center was recognized with the Robert A. Warriner III, MD, Center of Excellence Award. Given by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services, the award goes to centers that have patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days for at least two consecutive years. The 2018 data for the Bayhealth Wound Care Center at the Kent Campus included a 96 percent patient satisfaction rate, 95 percent healing rate, and 27 day- median healing rate.

NANTICOKE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research- based guidelines founded in the latest scientific evidence. The goal is speeding recovery and reducing hospital readmissions for heart failure patients.

NEMOURS/ALFRED I. DUPONT HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN’S Help Our Kids Radiothon raised more than $270,000 over the two-day event. The annual program has raised more than $2 million in the nine years since its inception.
