branch dedicated to the comprehensive oversight and control of cancer-
reducing initiatives in the state. The Comprehensive Cancer Control Branch has proven to be fruitful and effective, as previously referenced in Figure 1. This branch collaborates closely with the DCC to monitor cancer incidence and mortality, produce outreach programs, focus on Figure 5 highlights some of the impact that DCR’s data has had on cancer control.
The DCR partnerships have been key in cancer surveillance. Collaborations
also lead to linkages, publications,
and presentations. The partnerships impact the status of cancer in the
state in a multi-disciplinary approach. Existing partnerships were determined to be essential to registry data quality, timeliness, completeness, and decision decisions. The Division of Public Health plans to collect more information on screening. Moving forward, priorities include increasing collaboration through data linkages and strengthening existing partnerships. It is important to note that the contents of this report were part of
a poster presentation at the most recent combined meeting of the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries and International Association of Cancer overall honor.
