Hospital News CHRISTIANA CARE HEALTH SYSTEM
CHRISTIANA CARE HEALTH SYSTEM was recognized as a health system on the forefront of adoption and effective use of technology in the annual Health Care’s Most Wired Survey by the American Hospital Association. Only about 425 hospitals out of more than 5,000 in the US were recognized with the designation.
The Wilmington-based Kind to Kids Foundation, which provides emergency support to Delaware children transitioning to foster care and community-based life skills programs for at-risk youth, honored CHRISTIANA CARE HEALTH SYSTEM with its 2017 Corporate Service Award in recognition of Christiana Care’s commitment to the health and wellness of children throughout the community.

NEMOURS CHILDREN’S HEALTH SYSTEM was ranked as the 66th healthiest employer in the nation at the Fitbit Captivate Conference in September. The award program recognizes companies that achieve success in improving the health of their employees through wellness programs.
NEMOURS/ALFRED I. DUPONT HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN in Wilmington was named a Certified Duchenne Care Center by Parent Project
Muscular Dystrophy. The certification means that the center maintains the highest standards in clinical and sub-specialty services, rapidly applies new evidence-based knowledge, minimizes heterogeneity in clinical research outcomes, and complies with CDC Care Considerations in clinical care.
SAINT FRANCIS HEALTHCARE
SAINT FRANCIS HEALTHCARE has been verified as a Level III Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons Verification Review Committee. Saint Francis made a multi-year investment in training, facilities, and surgical and support staffing to enhance trauma care for all patients. The hospital is now able to provide faster assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, and emergency operations for trauma victims.
