  predominant consolidation, ground glass opacity, often with subpleural sparing.1
Although this case presented with a strong clinical history and radiographic findings for EVALI, it is still considered a diagnosis of exclusion,
as there is significant overlap of findings with other diagnoses, such
as eosinophilic pneumonia, diffuse alveolar damage, diffuse interstitial pneumonia, and organizing pneumonia, to name a few. There are no absolute clinical, radiologic, or histologic findings to establish criteria for a diagnosis. Until more data becomes available, the entire clinical picture must be taken into context for an accurate diagnosis and it may be prudent to treat with both antibiotics and steroids.
