Here’s how to get it right.

stablishing a professional social media presence for yourself or your practice can be daunting. Where should you even start? What should you post? And what if you (or one of your staffers) says the wrong thing on Facebook, setting off a storm of bad reviews?
“We’ve all seen the people who posted the wrong thing at the wrong time and got in trouble,” says Tyeese Gaines, DO, Founder and CEO of NOWmed Walk- In Urgent Care in Jersey City, NJ, and a Media Strategist at Doctor Ty Media.
In her work, Gaines sees both ends of the spectrum: older doctors who are overly cautious about or even afraid of social media exposure, and younger doctors and residents who grew up around social media and could stand to remember that anything you post is out there for the whole world to see, forever.
