A gem in Kent County’s entertainment crown is Dover Motor Speedway, where NASCAR greats have been racing the so-called “Monster Mile” since 1969. NASCAR Victory Plaza with the Monster Monument, which honors track mascot Miles the Monster, or visit the FanZone to browse dozens of vendor displays, plus interactive games for kids and grown-ups.
The Speedway is also the site of the annual Firefly Music Festival, a major draw for big-name musicians and national audiences.
For those who prefer their racing on two wheels, how about a trip to First State BMX in Milford? The website has a calendar of upcoming races, or you can try out the track yourself! Riders as young as three years old are welcome.
