What brought you to Kent County? A job with Delaware State Parks!
What is your favorite thing about Kent County? I love that Kent County is close to so many things. I can be at
almost any state park within an hour, I’m an hour from the beach and within two hours from cities like Philadelphia and Baltimore. I also love being surrounded by nature! Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge and Kitts Hummock are two of my favorite parks in the area.
What are some Kent County can’t-miss locations and events? Kent County has some of the best beaches in the country for horseshoe crab spawning season! Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, the John Dickinson Plantation and Killens Pond State Park are also a few of my favorite destinations. In terms of events, the 18th Century         
     Meet “The Villager,” Delaware’s Quaint Villages’ Mobile
Visitor Center sponsored by Chesapeake Utilities!
The Villager is an F-250 Transit that has been converted and equipped to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel from Chesapeake Utilities and gasoline as a backup. The Villager travels to
events and festivals to get visitors
and local residents excited about what there is to see and do in Kent County. The
Villager distributes visitor guides,
maps and area information that
highlight our restaurants, attractions,
hotels, shopping and special events.
So if you see The Villager out and
about — stop by and say hi! If you
spot The Villager, take a picture, post
