CSC, the Wilmington-based corporate services giant, held a grand opening for its new co-working space, CSC Station, on May 26. The space is located in the 43,000-square-foot PA Railroad Building along the Christina riverfront.
CSC Station includes not just open workspace, but also private offices, conference rooms, event space, and a waiting area for Amtrak and SEPTA travelers.

Looking to the Future
For the state’s lab-centered spaces, Delaware Technology Park and Delaware Innovation Space, going virtual wasn’t an option. “When you work in labs, you can’t do it from home by Zoom,” says BILL PROVINE, president and CEO of the Innovation Space, housed in a 130,000-square-foot building at the DuPont Experimental Station northwest of Wilmington.
Researchers, especially those in the life sciences sector, have to be in their labs almost every day. But working through the pandemic was not as scary for scientists as for many in other industries.
“PPE [personal protective equipment] was known to scientists long before COVID hit. We work with hazards every day,” Provine says. “With COVID, we just had to put in different protocols, different cleaning processes.” And, of course, wear masks every day.
As incubators, both the Technology Park and the Innovation Space provide their tenants with financial support, mentoring, business training and networking opportunities, both with other scientists and potential investors.
