Each participating organization already had robust training programs in place. While adjustments had to be made to accommodate increased numbers, little had to be built from the ground up. As of March, there were roughly 1,239 students — maybe more, as the data is slow to update — wrapping up their programs and ready to start their renewed job hunt.About 30 percent of the participants in IT training had found employment, and significant numbers of those trained as certified nursing assistants had found work in the state’s nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
