LEADERS IN INNOVATION
Catalyzing Change
The future of the chemical, biochemical, advanced materials, agri-science and industrial biotechnology industries lies in developing and commercializing innovative and sustainable technologies, building a new legacy of ChemTech, and developing a talent pipeline as these industries evolve.
DESCA programs support future prosperity by leading the way in these efforts. As the chemical industries have evolved so has DESCA. Our three key areas of focus today aim at meeting the needs of innovators, industry and investors:
• Driving innovation and collaborative partnerships between major strategics, startups and universities to build a startup pipeline. DESCA’s suite of Innovation to Invoice programs offer a unique forum for market-driven innovation. Technologists meet domain experts, connect to industry, learn about foundational market concepts, and explore alternate routes to market
to ensure that innovations are driven by market need. Our programs equip innovators and technologists with the essential entrepreneurial upskilling and network that will help guide them to success. Our annual Investor Forum invites pre-qualified, early- stage companies to present their innovations to potential investors and strategic partners.
• Driving the conversation around the adoption of digital technologies in the chemical and biochemical industries which will be a key driver of sustainability in the future. Our annual ChemTech Conference connects these industries with the tech industry to identify opportunities and challenges as manufacturing, industry
and business models evolve.
• Building a STEM talent pipeline by harmonizing the development of talent with the validated needs of industry through our programs geared to college students and our annual Catalyzing Change: STEM Talent Conference in partnership with FAME, Inc.
