MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS AND INDUSTRY GROUPS
Delaware’s innovation economy is supported by a diverse infrastructure of chambers of commerce, networking groups and industry associations.
Located in the heart of Wilmington’s business district, the DELAWARE STATE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE helps businesses of all sizes in Delaware achieve success through a variety of educational programs and business services, including: legislative advocacy, communications and publications, small- business benefits and services, and networking events.
At the county and local levels, the State Chamber of Commerce is complemented by organizations such as the CENTRAL DELAWARE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and the NEW CASTLE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
Members of the DELAWARE BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE include the CEOs and other executives of AAA Mid-Atlantic, AstraZeneca, Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, Navient, Verizon and many more. This group of C-level leaders works together on a volunteer basis to promote commerce, job creation and entrepreneurship in the First State.
The DELAWARE BIOSCIENCE ASSOCIATION’s mission is to make Delaware a global leader in life sciences by uniting the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, research, financial and agricultural players in the region. The tri-state region of Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey already represents 80 percent of the U.S. pharmaceuticals industry.
INSPIRING WOMEN IN STEM creates conferences and other professional development programming that is designed to support and encourage women to pursue and excel in STEM careers.
A government-funded nonprofit aimed at boosting the competitiveness of Delaware-based manufacturers in the global market, the DELAWARE MANUFACTURING EXTENSION PARTNERSHIP partners with other business organizations and chambers of commerce to provide clients with their industry’s best practices, processes, business improvement methodologies and more.
The TECH FORUM OF DELAWARE hosts educational seminars and networking events aimed at connecting Delaware entrepreneurs in the technology business with one another, as well as building up and promoting the tech community in the state.
