Mud Pond Preserve
The preserve is built around a two-mile hiking trail that ends on a vista overlooking the six-acre pond,

Nyack Beach State Park River Trail
Enjoy spectacular views of the Hudson River and the Palisades Cliffs along this 5.8-mile trail (11 miles out and back) that runs along the Hudson River
from Upper Nyack to Haverstraw. The trail is popular for hiking, biking,
bird watching and trail running. Wheelchair

Old Croton Aqueduct Trail/ State Historic Park
A National Historic Landmark Trail connected to
the 97-acre Croton Gorge Park. A tree-lined, 26.3-mile portion of trail that shows off historic treasures along the Hudson River.

Sterling Forest State Park
Includes the 8-mile Sterling Ridge Trail, 3-mile Allis Trail, and 4-mile Indian Hill Loop. Also, seven miles of Appalachian Trail and 10 miles of the Highlands Trail.

Stissing Mountain Fire Tower
At an elevation of 1,492 feet, this 90-foot tower is reached by a steep one-hour hike up trails from the base of the mountain.

Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail
A classic north-south trail that runs the length of Harriman State Park (26 miles), from Suffern to Bear Mountain State Park. Park at either end of the trail. Follow the yellow blazes. Suffern; nynjtc.org
