Steeped in history and the site of many pivotal moments in the foundation of the state and nation, the Hudson Valley’s historic sites and landmarks serve as a history lesson. About 150 years after Henry Hudson’s visit, the colonists declared their independence from England and the peaceful countryside gave way to Revolutionary War battles. Relive some of the action at numerous sites and battlefields such as Stony Point, just south of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
