IOf a Tree Falls ...
n Sept. 19, the mighty oak at London Grove Friends Meeting in Kennett Square met its end. More than 80 feet tall with a spread of
120 feet and a circumference last measured at over 22 feet, the tree was at least 341 years old. It was thought to be the last living oak that dated to William Penn’s founding of Pennsylvania. —Jim Graham
