Never too early...
At Wilmington Friends, it is never too early for students to fully participate in the learning process and to think and inquire globally, beyond any one discipline.
For example, first graders studied people who have served as peace makers throughout society and history. Students thought through and discussed the common characteristics among these influential figures, and created cereal boxes to highlight them. This type of learning builds important skills that students draw upon throughout their lives.
