(thecornucopiacafe.com) in Grantsville is known for its stylish but comfortable atmosphere, along with an extensive menu of breakfast foods, soups and salads, flatbreads, and signature cocktails.
Looking for a romantic night out? The Deer Park Inn (deerparkinn. com) is located in a gorgeous Victorian mansion and offers French-influenced cuisine,
while Pine Lodge Steakhouse (pinelodgesteakhouse.com) won the 2018 Diner’s Choice Award for its fine cuts of beef and plentiful seafood options.
While you’re on vacation, you
get to indulge in some treats,
and there’s no shortage of options. Lakeside Creamery (lakesidecreamery.com), founded in 1995, serves up delicious scoops and homemade waffle cones, paired with a gorgeous lakefront view. If you’re feeling creative, head to Deep Creek Donuts (deepcreekdonuts.com) for fresh, made-to-order cake rounds. You can select the toppings and watch as your donuts are made. For a more grown-up treat, visit Deep Creek Cellars (deepcreekcellars. com), one of Maryland’s oldest wineries.

food that’s free of preservatives and additives, alongside other

sustainable products. The bar has a wide selection of craft brews and there is live entertainment on the weekends.
Downtown Oakland has a fun nightlife scene. Stop by Sipside Lounge (facebook.com/ sipsidelounge), with its outdoor seating area — complete with
a large fireplace — relaxed atmosphere, wide drinks selection and live music performances.
Or try The Vagabond Taproom (vagabondtaps.com), which
offers local craft beer, wine and

Arts and Crafts
The Garrett Lakes Arts Festival (GLAF, artsandentertainment.org) provides fine arts performances mainly to enhance the arts curriculum for high school students. The organization plans to start
the 2021 season in a virtual environment.
GLAF has partnered with HART For Animals to sponsor the Deep Creek Lake Art & Wine Festival (deepcreekwinefest.com) each September. The 2021 date is Sept. 11. The one-day event features beautifully handcrafted works by local and regional artists, more than 200 wines
