a place is to eat your way through it; we tend to agree. That’s why you should try any and all of the Poughkeepsie eats below! Considered culinary staples by locals and visitors alike, Cosimo’s and Brasserie 292 both offer delicious menus, each with their own flair.

sweet, flaky pastries and fresh-baked bread. CIA alums have gone on to elevate square-cut Detroit-style pizza at Hudson & Packard and Neapolitan pies at Lolita’s.
Head to Cocina La Cabañita de Oaxaca for authentic Mexican cuisine; Twisted Soul for elevated street food inspired by Asian and Argentinean dishes; Tamarind for flavorful curries; and La Deliziosa Italian Pastry Shop for mouthwatering desserts. If you
like Southern comfort food with a
side order of blues and jazz, head to Geneva’s Blues House Southern BBQ. From 40 feet above the river, Sunday brunch at Shadows on the Hudson makes for a truly grand vantage point.
Craft beverage lovers will want to check out Blue Collar Brewery, Plan
of the Hudson Valley from Adams Fairacre Farms. The place is a farm-to- table lover’s dream—if it’s grown, raised or made in the area, Adams will likely have it on the shelf at its Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls locations.
Bee Farm Brewery, King’s Court Brewing Company and The Vale Fox Distillery. For brews and bites, we’ve got you covered. Mill House Brewing Company and Zeus Brewing Company serve comfort classics alongside a selection of beers on tap. Zeus also has Poughkeepsie’s only rooftop bar with views of the Hudson River.
To the east, you’ll find an onsite bakery at the Daily Planet. Treat yourself to traditional Greek dishes
at Athena Gyro in LaGrangeville and smoked meats at 82 BBQ in Verbank.

and a permanent collection including antiquities, European masters, Hudson River School and contemporary works. Visit the legendary Rossi’s Rosticceria Deli in the City of Poughkeepsie
or their new Alimentari in Eastdale Village, rated the best sandwich in New York by Buzzfeed and Yelpers.
The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center’s Victorian, Hancock and Reception galleries, housed in two splendid Victorian-age buildings, showcase works by local and regional artists and performances in their 200-seat theater. Check out The Art League of Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie’s walking map of outdoor murals.
Visit the collaborative art space with rotating exhibits at Gallery 40, followed by drinks and bites at 1915 Wine Cellar.
