I was always taught that regardless of a situation, you adapt and you learn from it. So, what have I learned from this pan- demic? I have learned that perseverance is key. I have learned that I am not so bad
with technology after all. I have learned that if we all work together, we can and will get through this. I have learned that the bond that my son and I share is indescrib- able. I have learned to be grateful in still being employed. Most importantly, I have learned to be thankful for every day because you never know what the next day will bring.

Through all the work hurdles, I still, like many others, had a child who was now adapting to his new norm of vir- tual learning. Different passwords and IDs for different teachers, assignments that were still due, quizzes to com- plete because, again, COVID doesn’t stop education. I have the utmost re- spect for teachers, especially considering the amount of work they had to put in to ensure that even from home, their students were receiving a thorough education. Maybe observing my son adapt so quickly to his new norm made me realize that I too could do this.
After months of working from home, I miss my colleagues tremendously. We con- tinue having weekly Zoom meetings to discuss cases and to check in on each oth- er. We continue receiving cases and work- ing as a team to ensure that we are doing the best job that we can. My son enjoyed
