WESTCHESTER
The Capitol Theatre, Port Chester The Capitol Theatre has an important
place in rock ‘n’ roll history. Throughout the years, some of the most legendary rock stars have graced its stage. (Do Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, and the Grateful Dead ring any bells?) To this day, talented musicians continue to stop by
the theater to deliver spectacular performances.
Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Katonah
On the 90-acre grounds of Caramoor, you can find Mediterranean-style architecture, landscaped gardens, Asian and Renaissance art—and plenty of music. Classical, folk, bluegrass, and jazz performances take place in the grand outdoor Venetian theater, the intimate Spanish Courtyard or gorgeous Sunken Garden, or the elegant Music Room inside the historic Rosen House.
Emelin Theatre for Performing Arts, Mamaroneck
The magic of Broadway comes to life in the Hudson Valley at the Emelin Theatre. The large venue hosts stage productions, bands, comedy groups, and dance troupes. Broadway stars often grace the stage, putting on show-stopping sets. You can also catch premieres of new plays written by Hudson Valley locals.
Paramount Hudson Valley, Peekskill Paramount Pictures built this grand all-talking movie palace in 1930,
and it operated for more than 75 years until it closed in October
2012. But it’s back—rechristened Paramount Hudson Valley and under new management—and hosting performers again.
Tarrytown Music Hall, Tarrytown This 843-seat theater earned the
