hroughout the COVID-19 pandemic, residents of the Hudson Valley realized anew just how crucial our region’s
healthcare systems are. Those living in this area are lucky to have top-notch medical care, treatment, and special- ized services right here in our back- yard. In addition, many of Manhattan’s top hospitals have expanded into the region, bringing state-of-the-art medi- cal procedures and the top physicians in every healthcare field much closer to home.
Here is a look at the vast network of services available to the region:
Hospitals & Medical Centers
The Montefiore Health System has been expanding its footprint in Westchester and now includes White Plains Hospital, which recently opened a new 252,000 sq. ft. Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery. The Center includes outpatient surgery, endoscopy, imaging services, maternal fetal medicine, and specialty practice offices. Montefiore Health Systems also operates Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital, and Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains. The network also includes Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Rockland County, and Montefiore St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, with locations in Newburgh and Cornwall.
Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Westchester in White Plains offers or thopedic, rheumatologic, and rehabilitation care, treating all musculoskeletal conditions, while radiology and low-radiation imaging services are available on site.
Memorial Sloan Kettering is con- sidered the nation’s leading cancer treatment center, and the hospital’s West Harrison facility offers our area the same top-of-the-line care you will find
in Manhattan, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation.
NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Division, located in White Plains, is a center for psychiatric care treating children, adolescents, and adults.
NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester
in Bronxville is an acute-care facility recognized for its high standards in patient care. New and revamped programs include a cancer center, cardiac catheterization laboratory, and a Center for Sleep Medicine.
NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cor tlandt Manor is an award-winning facility, recognized for its ambulatory surgery depar tment, no- wait emergency room, stroke treatment, obstetrical depar tment, and brand-new maternity unit.
Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco is a member of Northwell Health, and employs 650 physicians. It boasts a state-of-the-ar t infant safety system that captures high-resolution digital footprints of newborns and has been recognized for its stroke care and
geriatric emergency services.
Phelps Hospital Nor thwell Health
in Sleepy Hollow, also part of the Nor thwell Health system, offers cutting- edge technology like the da Vinci Xi surgical robot.
One of Westchester’s largest hospitals, St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers, offers specialized programs in orthopedics, cardiology, and geriatrics. It also includes St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester in Harrison which specializes in mental health and addiction services.
The first hospital in Westchester, St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, has been offering care for 150 years. It is known for its comprehensive behavioral health, stroke, and breast- care services.
In addition to being one of the area’s largest employers, Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla covers every adult and pediatric specialty. The hospital’s Westchester Medical Center Health Network includes Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and the Behavioral
