Next Generation Medical Devices
Having worked in over 100 countries, Matus Knoblich believes in giving back to the Westchester business community and making his biomedical engineering company, Med-Stat, a premier place to work.
Apolitical refugee from the former Czechoslovakia, Matus Knoblich and
his family escaped communism in 1987. “We came with nothing but the clothes on our back to this great country,” he recalls. A long journey, punctuated by stops
in Germany, San Diego, and the South Bronx, finally led his family to New Rochelle.

to the USA, to restructure, rebrand and expand Med-Stat, a biomedical engineering services firm, founded by his father, Bello Knoblich.
Mr. Knoblich has been integrally involved in the biomedical engineering industry since 1982. His broad experience as the Director of Biomedical Engineering in a large New York City hospital gave him insight into the difficulties facing many healthcare institutions, and helped develop solutions to address them.

On his work philosophy, Knoblich shares, “I believe in working so you can live, not living so you can work. All our staff receive an annual bonus – a 13th month of salary, similar to what is done in Europe. We have literally no turnover. We have a happy staff who enjoy great benefits – this is the culture that what we build on.”

for Westchester County brought me into the Westchester County Life Sciences Task Force, since I mentored
