REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – UNICO Rehoboth Area will open its annual meeting season with a presentation about Frank Sinatra at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 in the St. Edmond Parish Hall.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Richard Muti, a Rehoboth Area Chapter member and award-winning writer, who will present a Power Point lecture about his sixth book, “Cent’Anni: The Sinatra Legend at 100.”
The book grew out of Muti’s lifelong interest in Sinatra and love of his music. Meticulously researched and vetted by its publisher, the book became a finalist in the USA Best Book Awards of 2015. “Sinatra,” Muti’s first screenplay, adapted from his book, won for Best TV Pilot at the Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards in December 2021.
Copies of the book will be on sale at the meeting, with all proceeds benefiting the UNICO chapter.
Muti spent 19 years as a trial prosecutor and has also taught writing, criminal justice, and American government and politics
at three New Jersey universities. He is a
graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Harvard Business School, and Rutgers Law School, as well as a former Navy pilot and mayor of his hometown of Ramsey, N.J.
The event is free and open to the public. IAH
