to help celebrate Rizzo’s 99th Birthday.

4th Annual St. Bede’s Padre Pio Festival. Our cameras captured the special ceremonies and procession thru the streets with visiting celebrant Father Pio Mandato, a Capuchin priest. He grew up in the sun-baked, dusty village of Pietrelcina in southern Italy, Padre Pio’s home town, and received his first holy communion from the saint. With
his family’s intimidate relationship with Padre Pio, his mother wrote a memoir, “Padre Pio: Encounters With a Spiritual Daughter From Pietrelcina.” The book was originally written in Italian & Fr Mandato translated it into English.
Julia Calandra-Lineberg, Founder of Journey With Padre Pio interviewed him and Monsignor John Marine, St. Bede Pastor and a devoted follower of Padio Pio.

to date the Institute
has awarded over 270 scholarships. There will be Memorial Award Tribute to the late Frank Tenaglia,
a gifted tenor from South Philadelphia, who was inspired by Mario Lanza and is the only singer to have won a Mario Lanza Scholarship three times. He, like Lanza, performed to standing ovations throughout the United States and Europe.
