The Grease Pole event captures everyone’s attention as competitors try to reach the top.

 The two-day affair was a one-of-a-kind celebration in the nation’s oldest outdoor market. There was food and fun, street vendors, live entertainment and contests. Other highlights included the traditional Procession of Saints, the famous Grease Pole and the Philly Cheesesteak competition.

 The eight-day festival is the principal fund-raiser for St. Anthony of Padua Grade School. It is one of the largest Italian-American cultural events in the United States.
