Ring in 2023 by attending the annual Mummers Parade! Don’t miss the time- honored tradition that brings together more than 10,000 costumed adults and children as they march from City Hall south on Broad Street to Washington Avenue. The Burlington County Agricultural Center features great classes and workshops this January. On Jan. 9, their Kids in the Kitchen: Imperfect Pizza! class allows children ages 7 to 13 to learn the basics of making pizza. Then on Jan. 10-11, chef Tamara Christians will take attendees of the Mozzarella From Scratch workshop through hands-on techniques for stretching a sweet tender curd into fresh mozzarella balls. After class, you can taste the cheese and take some home. And on Jan. 19, in the Homemade Orecchiette Pasta class, attendees will learn to make the little ears and create a braised cabbage, preserved lemon, and pancetta sauce to top them.
