UNICO: Sinatra scholar speaks

His Sinatra book is his sixth publication,
and was a finalist in the USA Best Book Awards of 2015. A screenplay adapted from this book won “Best TV Pilot” at the Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards in December 2021.
During the October event, UNICO members heard plans for the 2022-23 season, which include Italian movie night with a presentation on “Carnevale in Italia”
by artist and author Rosemary Connelly. Members also enjoyed antipasti and wine while welcoming new members Sam Ratner, Tina Lambert and Marylou Hahn.

Richard Muti spent 19 years as a trial prosecutor, taught writing, criminal justice, and American government and politics at three New Jersey universities. He is also a former Navy pilot and mayor of his hometown.
