Hundreds stopped by
to wish a Happy “96” Birthday to Norristown’s Hank Cisco who’s career highlights include Andrea Bocelli, Muhammad Ali and more.
In typical Hank Cisco Style, WPHT 1210 Talk Radio Host Dom Giordano gathered Frank Rizzo supporters October 23,
at the Foot of the Statue
to celebrate Rizzo’s 99th Birthday with
Cacia Rolls
for everyone &
special “99” bread
baked by Sammy
Cacia. The bakery
is located in
Rizzo’s childhood neighborhood
where he grew
up as a son of Italian immigrants.
Retired US Navy Captain Lou Cavaliere from
The Chapel of the Four Chaplains spoke about Rizzo’s belief in The Phila Navy Yard. Thanks to Silvio Lelli for helping
me bring to life a dialogue exchange written by Inquirer columnist, Stu Bykofsky interviewing Rizzo on life outside the Municipal Services Bldg
across from City Hall in 2019. A special thanks to Pete Tramo, my brother Tony Zippi & Philadelphia
Police. Save October 23, 2020 to celebrate 100.
I’m honored to be designated as a fill-in host on The Hank Cisco TV Show, under the direction of John Doyle & his students at Norristown High School. Guests from Manor College, located in Jenkintown, Ashley Hillegas, Director of Student Engagement & Tarra Raspanti, Office &
Events Manager discussed student involvement & community offerings at the college. Thanks to President Jonathan Peri for sending his team to educate us
on student opportunities & community interaction. And, Echo Hill Farm’s
Santa Claus from Thornton stopped by to talk about Holiday Traditions Around the World. Watch episodes on NASD Community Cable Channel or You Tube.
The North Pole Experience at Echo Hill Farm is located near West Chester in Historic Thornton, with ties to the Underground Railroad
& nearby Brandywine Battlefield Trail. It’s open with free admission on Saturdays & Sundays thru Dec 22 from 10am-5pm.
The Barn Shop features handcrafted one-of-a-kind treasures, artwork by Italian artists Brigida Di Genova &
Antonio Palumbo, wreaths by Keep it Greenery and over a hundred miniature classic collector cars and memorabilia for dad.
Featured artist DiGenova, trained by old masters of Italy, has a variety of price ranges & makes all her own
paints from plants, herbs & natural resources. Her work is meticulous & whimsical, transporting us to another world, from reality to dream. Her love for the Christmas season is evident in her wonderfully hand-crafted Santa Claus collection.
Holiday crafts will be available for tots to tweens and children’s book author, Phyllis ‘Pam’ Mariani
will host story times. Her books reflect her life. Being adopted, ‘And
baby makes a family’ reflects on childhood adoption and ‘Dingles Special Day’, pet rescues. These full color, hardback books are illustrated by
W F Hawkinson one of Walt Disney’s original illustrators.
Dress to be outside,
the historic barn, with sections dated 1750 & 1882, will serve as a backdrop for Santa Photo packages by Charismatic Entertainment from $15 to $50 between Noon and 2.
Check Echo Hill Farm Facebook for special events & to pre-register
for Saturday StoryTime Breakfast with Santa til Dec 21 & Historic ‘Save the Barn’ Tours & S’mores from December 26 thru January 6 for groups of 6 or more. While visiting, check
out Echo Hill Farm’s version of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Griswold Station Wagon and our 9 Foot Nutcracker, once on display at Granite Run Mall. S’mores &
more include visiting food truck with Nonna Sonia’s Italian Hot Roast Pork Sandwiches.
And, I have to share the Johnston Boys, my great- nephews embracing their
Italian side for Halloween.
Ryan, Liam & Christmas Eve twins Luca & Evan, I’m thankful for their helping hands at Echo Hill Farm.
Wishing you and your family Peace, Joy and a Safe Holiday Season
Ciao Bella until 2020!!!
