LONDON – Two soccer-mad nations faced each other, and one blinked. Italy bested England in the final of the Euro 2020 soccer tournament. The winner was determined by a penalty-kick shootout after extra time that kept the score even at 1. Italy won the shootout 3-2 after England's final
shot was blocked.
Italian player Jorge Luiz Frello Filho,
known as Jorginho, missed the previous shot, blocked by English goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, sending the London crowd into frenzied cheering, but a first-time European championship for the host country wasn't to be. Italy was already up 3-2, and the score remained.

ROME – There were emotional scenes on July 9 as famous faces and ordinary folk said farewell to Raffaella Carrà at the funeral of the Italian TV icon and entertainment legend, who died at the age of 78.
A large crowd of people followed the funeral at Rome's Maria in Ara Coeli basilica on a big screen on the square outside. Many people stood in intense heat to pay their respects as she lay in state at Rome city hall.
Carrà, who starred with Frank Sinatra in “Von Ryan's Express” in 1965 and found cult TV success in Spain and other countries, becoming a gay icon, had been ill for some time.
Culture Minister Dario Franceschini said: "With the passing of Raffaella Carrà we lose the Lady of Italian television. A woman of great talent, passion and humanity who accompanies us our whole lives through. Addio Raffaella."

It takes a commitment today to honor 1976 prices, and that’s just what La Famiglia is all about. A commitment to quality and honesty blended in with a love of sharing the Sena family’s csulture and roots.
The Sena Family tradition of culinary excellence dates back to early 1947 when Carlo “Papa” Sena began to cook in postwar Naples and immigrated to the United States for work as a Master Chef in Philadelphia.
A ‘family meeting’ about Papa’s employment lead to a ‘fam- ily decision’ to open a restaurant as ‘a family’. And, in 1976, “Mama” Josephina, daughter Rosa, and sons Gino, Luca,
seven ‘water wells’ from the 1700’s. Believing in preservin traditions and history, The Water Well enclave in The Win Cellar is where “La Famiglia” photo has a place of honor.
Didn’t every Italian household have a cellar for cooking an preserving food and wine. In a private, Behind the Scene Cellar tour, you find the ‘traditional Italian oven in the base ment’ slowly roasting their signature bread sticks and refrig erators stocked with that night’s selection of home-mad Italian desserts. Looking further you find a room with im ported Italian linen napkins and an in house laundry facilit
