Musicians of traditional Italian folk music reunite from many regions including Lazio Region, Penne, Loreto Aprutino, Collecorvino, Chieti in a hilltop village in Abruzzo to share folk music, food and wine. A special thanks to my cousin Roaldo Acciavatti for bringing me to his reunion of musicians.
Angelo from the village of Penne organized this reunion. His ‘ci birbanti’ (rascals) perform at parties and festivals throughout Italy.
Violinist Domenico Mancini joins local folk musicians with his talents. He performed with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra.
Errico Angelini from the village of Capestrano in Abruzzo joins in with the traditional Zampogna (bagpipes)

‘oil can’ traditionally used for storing the season’s olive oil. Cousin Roaldo, far right.
These traditional Organetto’s are popular in Southern Italy to accompany folk music and dance. Similar to ‘accordians’ their music brings joy. Hear the band on YouTube Ciao Bella Living Italian Style.
Another ‘home-made’ musical instrument from a ‘wash board’ allowing anyone to participate in the festivities.
Another ‘hand-made’ drum from a miniature wine barrel. These musicians would love to travel to America for festivals and parties. Contact information below.
