What’s New in the Hudson Valley
THE WORLD is constantly changing, shifting, and evolving, creating a need to constantly adapt. Remaining committed
to ongoing innovation enables schools to stay prepared for new challenges, introduce innovative programs, and incorporate fresh new ways to engage students. Schools continue to respond to challenges (large and small) quickly and successfully with creativity, insight, and compassion.
Burke Catholic High School, and now Burke Catholic Academy (grades 6-8), are the premier college and high school preparatory schools in the New

LeMoyne, St. Francis University, New Haven, King’s College, and Dominican College.

High Meadow School is grounded in the progressive education movement of
the late 19th century, which emphasizes educating the whole child — their physical, emotional, and intellectual selves. As
a laboratory for collaborative, inquiry-
based learning, we believe in the power of relationships. Together, we practice the skills of participation in a democratic community, including listening, self-expression, problem solving, and community care. With an emphasis on nature and the arts, our seven- acre campus includes three school buildings, a performing arts and athletic center, a music building, gazebo, three playgrounds, and a nature trail. •
