DCA’S NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
Throughout the year DCA hosts many social
and educational events designed to inform and entertain its members,
while providing
opportunities for
them to interact
with each other,
their customers,
other industry
members and
government and business leaders. The activities offer something for everyone, including: the Annual Crab Feast; Spring and Fall
Golf Outings; the Annual Meeting in October; Semi-annual Political Action Committee (PAC) Luncheons; the Governor’s Safety Awards Dinner & Member Expo; Sporting Clay Events in the Spring and Fall; Governmental Breakfasts; and numerous other events and outings. In addition, DCA provides regular opportunities to meet
with candidates and elected officials. This year, Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long spoke at the Spring CACC Luncheon (pictured below with DCA President Mike Peet, of ModernControls; and DCA’s Senior Vice President John Everhart, of Merit Construction Engineers).

YOUNG EXECUTIVES COMMITTEE
The Young Executives Committee
(YEC) continues to provide direction
and to plan activities for a new
generation of businesspersons. Made
up of both contractor and associate
members, age 40 and under, the
mission of the YEC is to provide
activities to promote the active
involvement of the Association’s future leadership in the construction industry and the Delaware community.
This year’s co-chairpersons are: Adam DiSabatino, of EDiS Company, and Brandon Baker, of Tri-Supply & Equipment Rental.
The committee’s activities have included volunteering at the Delaware Food Bank; volunteering at the NAWIC Chapter #96 Block Kids Event; delivering three truckloads of donations to Stockings
for Soldiers; volunteering at Dover Interfaith Mission of Housing, donating clothes and delivering dinner to 85 homeless men; Crab Feast T-Shirt and 50/50 raffle sales at the annual Crab Feast; and the clean-up on Route 58 for the Adopt-A-Highway program with DelDOT.
YEC events are a combination of social, networking, volunteerism and informational gatherings. If you have someone in your company you would like to grow into a leadership position alongside others throughout the different areas of the industry, we encourage you
