The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all children. But to work for the well-being of all children
is not just a practical matter -
it is also right.

and spirit. We provide an exemplary program of education and child care in a nurturing atmosphere.
HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
St. Michael’s School is a nurturing early
care and education center for children ages
8 weeks through pre-K serving the East
Side community. St. Michael’s practices a
whole-child and trauma-aware approach
to ensure that each child is safe, healthy,
supported, engaged and prepared for school.
We are an anchor neighborhood resource
that is helping the community navigate the
second pandemic in its history. As one of
only three 5-Star level early childhood centers on the East Side of the city, St. Michael’s is an essential community asset, offering programs and resources for families year-round that extend beyond the classrooms. We have made multigenerational impact, having served many families through successive generations.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
St. Michael’s strives to offer a high quality, affordable program that is accessible to all families. We have continued to offer a safe and caring learning environment for young children throughout the pandemic despite the increased costs. A gift to a quality pre-K program is one of the best investments you can make as research shows that birth to age 5 is the most formative of a child’s life.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
During these challenging times, we welcome any support for and from our community. Our Family Resource Room stocked with non-perishable foods, baby and school supplies, new or gently used shoes and clothing, and seasonal clothing for children and adults are all important resources for many. Of the utmost importance, however, is advocating for quality early education and care in Delaware for all children.
