MERIT AWARD WINNERS
ABC Delaware is pleased to recognize members for their contributions to the industry. Following are the Excellence in Construction Awards Program Merit Award winners.
JF SOBIESKI MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS
Sobieski Mechanical Contractors is awarded a Merit for Academia Antonia Alonso Charter School in the mechanical under $2M category. They completed a seven-month renovation to convert a 120,000-square-foot office building into a state-of-the-art charter school, upgrading all necessary plumbing systems. The dual-language school serves bilingual, biliterate and multicultural children in Delaware.
GGA CONSTRUCTION
In the GC/CM category $30M–$50M, GGA Construction
is honored with a Merit for the Hyatt Green Mansion. The 104-guest room hotel was built around the historic Green Mansion at the heart of Main Street in Newark. It was completed in just 19 months, making it the fastest construction of a Hyatt. The second building has 48 apartments and
Main Street’s only underground parking garage.
