MERIT AWARD WINNERS
ABC Delaware is pleased to recognize members for their contributions to the industry. Following are the Excellence in Construction Awards Program Merit Award winners.
THE WHITING-TURNER
CONTRACTING COMPANY
In the GC/CM category of
$20-30 million, The Whiting-
Turner Contracting Company is honored with a Merit for the Beebe Healthcare South Coastal Emergency Department & Cancer Center.
The 44,000 sq. ft. center includes treatment bays, resuscitation bays, X-ray, CT, ultrasound and infusion suite with private infusion bays, semi-private infusion bays and
open infusion chairs, exam rooms, linear accelerator, pharmacy,
lab, dining area and associated support spaces.
RICHARD Y.
GEORGE & LYNCH
In the Site/Civil under $2 million, George & Lunch is honored with
a Merit for the Paper Mill Road Bridge Replacement project. It
was the first CM/GC project for
the DelDOT Bridge Section. This unique method of construction fostered collaboration between the department and the contractor to design a construct a challenging project in an efficient manner.

JOHNSON & SON
Richard Y. Johnson & Son is awarded a Merit in the GC/CM $10-20 million category for the Delaware State Police Troop 7. This project required a complete team effort from start to finish
to ensure the project stayed on budget and schedule, and also to ensure that all security protocols were met.
