cool towels; and handfuls of healthy snacks (apples, nuts, granola). You just may want to hide here all day. And you can. You can enjoy a turkey club, freshly pressed carrot or orange juice, and lemonade cake at the pool; take a swim; make some phone calls; or do work on your

ESCAPE SPA & WELLNESS, ARMONK
Why go? Since opening seven years ago, this intimate, calming spa set behind the locker rooms of The Gym’s sleek, modern facilities (yet run independently) has been busy helping buff bodies stay relaxed and healthy. While there are only four rooms, the scope of offerings is impressive: A cozy waiting room with cascading waterfall, the warming glow of candles, and a dedicated staff who do everything from hot-clay facials to hot-stone therapy. Best of all, booking here means you can enjoy all of The Gym’s amenities, including machines and classes. There is, however, a $10 surcharge on services for non-members.
Plan Your Day: 8 am: bike and weights; 9 am: Thai Massage (80 minutes, $130—not your usual massage, this is performed on the floor on a mat where a practitioner guides you through a series of gentle stretches meant to balance the body); 10:30 am: Gentleman’s Facial (50 minutes, $100; personalized treatment using all-natural Indie Lee products); noon: aromatherapy steam room; 1 pm: sand- wich-to-go for trek back to work. This being an office park, hope- fully, you don’t have to go far.

Why go? Tucked in the first floor of a nondescript building, this low-key, gender-neutral retreat boasts a long line of massage chairs thinly separated by beaded curtains. Who cares if your neighbor is closeby enjoying a foot rub? Once seated at this pampering throne, you’ll be transported by the knot-melting kneading of your feet in a variety of styles and options—Asian BodyWork (a combina- tion of acupressure and Swedish or deep-tissue massage meant to stimulate the body’s own recuperative powers); hot stones (increases circulation and metabolism); and the specialty of the house, foot reflexology, in which pressure on reflex points reduces stress, revitalizes and balances energy, and creates an overall sense of well-being. What sets this place apart from the more traditional spa? The fact that total relaxation can be achieved (and you can be home in time for dinner) within an hour or less. If you need more than just your feet attended to, add on other treatments, such as a full-out-get-undressed (they can also do clothed) body massage in one of the facility’s four treatment rooms. Bonus: This little piece of foot heaven is open seven days a week from 10 am to 9 pm, leaving you plenty of after-work hours to recharge your batteries and get those footsies back on the pavement.
Plan Your Day: 5:30 pm: 60-minute foot reflexology and 60-minute body massage, $88 (for both!)

laptop—all between an Arnica muscle and joint bath soak (which pro- motes circulation), a men’s haircut at the spa's salon, or a eucalyptus steam room. This spa makes your every wish its command. And, no, you do not have to be a hotel guest to enjoy. Parking is validated.
