A historic but dilapidat- ed carriage house was completely redone to become a light-filled pool house as part of a recent backyard renovation in Rye. The result is a fun yet functional space with a full kitchen and a slid- ing window to a com- plete outdoor grilling area and bar, as well as
a game space and a full shower and bathroom hidden behind a sliding door. What was once an eyesore in the client’s backyard is now one of their most used areas year-round.
