                                 NEED TRAINING?
We work to ensure that the local economy thrives. One way we do that: by partnering with organizations throughout the county on training programs that build the skills employers want.
Here are just a few of the programs you should know about.
ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CAREER TRAINING PROGRAM
This program, created by OED, is conducted in partnership with SUNY Westchester Community College. It can prepare you for a well-paid career in advanced manufacturing, at your own pace.
This mostly virtual, six-month program is your chance to: •Master the basics of safety, quality, manufacturing
processes and green production.
•Learn skills to set you on a path to create products using
computers, robotics, 3D printing and more.
•See first-hand what it’s like to work at some of Westchester’s
most innovative companies.
No prior manufacturing experience is necessary, and a college degree is not required. There are scholarships available to cover the cost of this program.
At the end of the program, you will hold The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) CPT 4.0 Certification. OED will loan laptops to participants who need them at NO COST.

a Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant.
Successful candidates will earn a NYS-approved training credential, receive job readiness training and be connected to leading healthcare partners in Westchester County. Join an industry with great career advancement opportunities!
HAVE BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT?
At OED, we understand that affordable childcare, quality housing, food security and access to healthcare are essential to professional success. That’s why we want to help you access those resources.
If you participate in an OED program, we will help you connect with third-party organizations that offer the help you need — so you can keep the job you’ve worked hard to get.
