  28 | GIVING GUIDE 2022
HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
As the only independent voice for the children and youth of Westchester, WCA advocates to improve the status quo for all kids – from 0 to 25 by shaping policies and investments. We collect and analyze data indicating how Westchester’s children and youth are faring. We use that data to inform a conversation with the public, policymakers, and providers that evolves into consensus about what children need. Then we work
to make those needs known and see that they are met by leading parents, youth, and other concerned residents to act and push for changes that make things better for kids!
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Our data-driven work needs support for our major issue areas: • Child / Youth Homelessness and Poverty
• Digital Access, Equity, and Inclusion
• Early Childhood Supports / Home Visiting
• Youth Justice
We welcome recurring and one-time donations as well as sponsorship of our Annual Benefit and other events at wca4kids.org/donate.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We encourage people of all backgrounds to join us as interns, volunteers,
and board members. Because we are not a direct service organization, most volunteer opportunities involve working with staff on programmatic, data, and administrative projects, including special events. WCA maintains a policy of equal treatment to all.
